Lodge to Lodge Kayak Get-Aways along the Lake Tahoe Water Trail
Experience the first ever Multi-day Kayak Adventures along the Lake Tahoe Water Trail in style! We are featuring 2, 3 and 4 day kayak and stay packages along the West, North and East shores of Lake Tahoe during the best seasons of the year, Spring and Fall. Enjoy the glassy, clear waters with early morning guided paddles spotting local wildlife and learning the unique natural and human history of this special region. By afternoon, arrive at your lakefront hotel for a hot shower, warm meal, and pure relaxation. In the afternoon you can choose to benefit from a massage, a walk along the beach, skipping stones, or simply relaxing by the pool or on the water's edge. |

The Lake Tahoe area offers incredible kayaking opportunities. All of our one-day kayaking tours cover comprehensive paddling instruction, include an excellent lunch on the beach, and allow our guests to experience the area from the unique perspective of a kayak. We point out ecology, geology, and natural and human history along the way. These excellent paddles always travel with the prevailing winds and currents, which allows us to explore and have fun. We invite you to discover the breathtaking beauty of Lake Tahoe in a pure natural way on the water. The day starts with a beautiful section of the Lake Tahoe coastline through granite boulder fields and past some of the North Shore's most stunning lake front homes. Guides will discuss lake ecology, geology, and other natural and human history topics throughout the trip. They will also offer some challenging kayak games to keep you on your paddles!
After a delicious deli spread lunch on the beach, we'll hop aboard the 50ft "Tahoe Cruz!" Captain Mike and Captain Jim, both U.S. Coast Guard certified skippers, ensure a fun and lasting sailing experience. Guests may enjoy taking the wheel or just sitting back, relaxing, and letting captain and crew set sail. Complimentary beer, wine, and soft drinks are included with every voyage.
This trip includes all the necessary gear, a delicious lunch, knowledgeable guides, Coast Guard certified capitains, soft drinks, bottled water, beer, and wine!
Distance and Time: 2-4 miles kayaking, 2 hours sailing. Cost: $140 per person. 4 person minimum. |

The Tahoe Adventure Company now offers Kayak Rentals on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe. We are located in the Tahoe Vista Recreation Area at the intersection of North Lake Blvd. (Highway 28) and National Avenue in Tahoe Vista, California ~ North Lake Tahoe. Directions below.
Kayak the crystal clear waters of Lake Tahoe on your own schedule or join one of our Lake Tahoe Kayak Tours.
We offer single and double sit on top kayak rentals from our beach in Tahoe Vista or for delivery to your accommodations. We also offer Kayak Tours from this location.
Our Kayak Rentals allow you to explore the Lake Tahoe Coastline at your own pace. Paddle along the North Shore from King's Beach to Tahoe City or to Crystal Bay in Incline Village, Nevada. There are many beaches along the way and our guests often pack a picnic lunch and make a day of it.

From Truckee and I-80: Take exit 188 for Hwy. 267 and Northstar Ski Resort. Go right onto 267 and follow past Northstar over Brockway Summit to the stop light in King's Beach. Turn right (west) on Hwy. 28 towards Tahoe City. Continue one half mile to the next stop light at National Ave. Turn left into the parking lot and look for the kayaks on the beach.
From Tahoe City: Follow Hwy 28 (North Lake Blvd.) East about 8 miles to the stop light at National Ave. Turn right into the Tahoe Vista Recreation Area and look for the kayaks on the beach.
From South Lake and Incline Village: Take Hwy 50 East towards Carson City about 14 miles. Go left onto Hwy. 28 towards Incline Village at the top of Spooner Summit. Follow along the Lake through Incline Village and into California. Proceed about 3 miles to the stop light at National Ave. and turn left.

We are selling used single and double Ocean Kayaks starting at $250 including seat and paddle. This is a great beginner package for folks interested in the sport. Single kayaks are Ocean Kayak Sramblers and doubles are Ocean Kayak Malibu Two and Malibu Two XL's. For more details, check the Ocean Kayaks website. Looking to Kayak Tour along the undeveloped coast of Lake Tahoe's East Shore on your own? Tahoe Adventure Company offers a kayak delivery service to meet your needs. We will drop off your boats between 9am and 10am and pick them up in the afternoon.
All safety gear and complete instruction is included. After a brief lesson on the beach, you will be off and paddling. Bring a picnic lunch and make a full day of it! Experience Lake Tahoe at your own pace or join one of our Kayak Tours if you would like more instruction, catered lunch and insight into Lake Tahoe's fascinating natural and human history.
4 boat minimum, all day rentals required. No delivery fee!
If you would like your kayaks delivered to Sand Harbor for a shorter period of time, or do not meet the minimums, please call for a quote as we may still be able to accommodate.
