Snowshoeing
What better way to spend a day than snowshoeing through the peaceful forest with our excellent guides? Grab your winter attire and meet us at the trailhead for an exciting natural history hike in the Sierras! Our high quality snowshoes will help you cruise through snow of any depth. Periodic stops will give you the chance to photograph the unsullied views, re-energize with our trail snacks, and learn about the local natural and human history from our guides. Your adventure in the mountains will end with hot beverages and snacks, leaving you feeling warm and well exercised.
For groups of 8 or more, we can end your trek with a raging bonfire, tasty chocolate s'mores, hot mulled wine, and cheese plates. Give us a call for more details! |
Winter Photography Tours

Introducing our new winter series ~ Winter Photography Tours. We combine the joy of snowshoeing in the mountains with capturing Mother Nature's finest landscapes in Lake Tahoe. To cater to rookies as well as budding photographers, we have created two great photography tours:
Snowshoe Snapshot ~ Enjoy a natural history snowshoe trek in the mountains, while our photographer captures the finest moments of the trip. Our professional photographer will not only teach you about the natural history of the area, but he will also offer a few tips on shooting landscape and winter photography. At the end of the trip we will send you a CD of all the photos captured throughout your snowshoeing adventure.
Snowshoe Photo Clinic ~ learn how to accurately use your digital SLR camera while enjoying a snowshoe trek in the Sierra's. Informational topics will include metering, aperture, ISO, shutter speed, and lens selection. We will also cover the basics of composing quality images. Instruction will be provided in the field, while leading you on a natural history snowshoe hike through the mountains. We will stop periodically to photograph our surroundings, while having group discussions and analyses of our photos.
