Kate was our guide. She was patient, informative and very personable. Loved hearing the Lake Tahoe myths and stories. The two hour tour was plenty of time for us, heard there was a 4 hour tour that may get tiring from paddling so much/long. For groups, I recommend sharing the kayak (2 person kayak) as it just made it easier for us to enjoy the experience with each other (communication, pictures, etc.).

"By far the absolute BEST adventure I have ever chosen! The Company does an amazing job at keeping in contact with you, frequently providing keen information for the tour; directions, parking permit, appropriate attire, answering any and ALL questions you may have! Our tour guide Zach was beyond AWESOME (if we could give 12/10 rating, would so would!) My boyfriend and I are from Miami, where we all know there are no mountains. The hike itself is do-able with frequent breaks. Zach was so patient with us, provided some great historical tips, and never stopped motivating us to get to the top!!! "My husband, 15-year-old daughter, and I booked the Friday, December 28 sunset snowshoe tour with Tahoe Adventure Company. It took a while to confirm but once I spoke with Katie we were all set. We were a bit nervous for the tour as the day was a dark 20 degrees with howling winds. We met our guides 30 minute late, but they were kind and patient with us. Once we got geared up and hiked the icy road under the freeway, then we were off. The Pacific trail was in deep snow and out of the wind. We were comfortable the whole time. Our guide spoke about the terrain and glaciers that formed the area. Michelle took some awesome photos of us with the mountain peaks at sunset.
