Leadership Experience: Katie manages and oversees the operations, marketing and bookkeeping at TAC. In addition to previously managing the operations for a small international travel company, Katie has experience working with different populations teaching Environmental Education and Home Health in California as well as abroad.
Education: Bachelor of Arts, Environmental Studies, UC Santa Barbara
She holds WFR, CPR and First Aid Instructor, and Avalanche Level I certifications.
Favorite Adventure Trip: Scuba diving in the Galapagos Islands with Kevin.
Favorite TAC Trip: Thunderbird Lodge Kayak Tour and Lodge to Lodge Kayak.
Favorite Sports: Alpine and cross-country skiing, stand-up paddleboarding, mountain biking, running, gardening, cooking, and chasing her kids.

"We had a wonderful SUP day with Chase as our guide. We took off from Sandy Harbor on the longer paddle board trip with a last minute (day before) reservation. As newbies, we had a quick lesson in the basics and off we went. It was a great place to SUP because the water is crystal clear, the vistas breathtaking and our Chase shared lots of interesting facts to answer all our curiosities. Lunch on the beach after was peaceful and relaxing. Go for the longer trip! And enjoy it." Anna R.
"How lucky we were to have a full moon on one of the few nights we were in North Tahoe. An amazing evening on the water paddling out into the lake, watching the sun set over the horizon on one side and then oh so dramatically the moon rise on the other. "I ended up doing the Discover Paddle boarding tour after my other one had to be cancelled. I was just happy to get on the water, and appreciated everything Katie did to accommodate me last minute. I’ve done SUP before, so the instructor Crystal was ok with me being a little on my own if I wanted. We had the perfect weather for SUP, so it was a relaxing and enjoyable two hours. We did both the rock climbing and the North Tahoe Single Track Mountain Biking. The kids say the mountain biking tour was the BEST thing they have ever done. The trails were fantastic and they thought that Micah was so totally cool. The rock climbing with Chris was great and they loved when he took out the blindfold for them. "Took a stand up paddle board tour. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Tons of interesting information about Lake Tahoe history. Provided lunch was as good as I've had on any guided trip.
