You know how the last day of vacation looms, and you can't help but feel a little sad? These folks have the cure for you! We booked the Sand Harbor adventure for the last day of our trip and we just LOVED it. The cherry on top of a wonderful trip. The kayaks they use are stable and have great back support, but the guide really made this trip for us. Jill was helpful and knowledgeable, and we definitely learned more about the lake from her than we have on any other excursions. Jill found us some super cool and secluded rocky inlets and gave us a chance to wade around and explore. Everything was amazing! We'd highly recommend this company and this adventure. "My family of 6 visited in July and booked a multi sport tour. We kayaked for about two hours in the am. Our guide Joel was great. Knowledgeable about the lake and it’s history. He set a good pace with breaks as we needed them. We ate a basic lunch of turkey sandwiches and then headed to Squaw valley for hiking. Very nice scenic hike at the right level for our group. Lots of wild flowers. It would have been hard to follow the trail without a guide. The company was great about answering all my questions and returning phone calls. One suggestion would be to provide a wider variety of snacks and drinks. Some gourmet touches to lunch like local homemade cookies would have been nice. We have had this with other tour companies. I went kayaking today with a youth group I volunteer with, ages 10 to 14. We had a great time! The instructors were helpful and knowledgeable, and made everyone feel safe. We paddled out into Tahoe Lake individually, including a boat race, and then the kids got to swim (with their life vests) in the lake, or play games between the kayaks. The bottom wasn't more than 30 feet deep. We spent about 2.5 hours on the water. On the way in, we linked all the kayaks and paddled as a chain. Nice teamwork! Overall a great experience.
