You can't tell by looking that Lake Tahoe is one of the deepest and highest lakes in the world, but its extraordinary clarity and mesmerizing blueness have to be seen to be believed. Its setting among the peaks and forests of the Sierras makes it a living postcard that groups will be tempted to experience and explore.

Tahoe Adventure Company: Another ropes course option is offered through Tahoe Adventure Company, which also incorporates sports such as kayaking, biking, rock climbing, and hiking into its team-building programs. The company also specializes in Beach Olympics, in which groups are broken down into teams of 12 to 15 attendees to complete a series of enjoyable bonding tasks. Tahoe Adventure Company also aims to educate groups about the heritage of the area by stopping along the way during hikes to discuss the region's natural and cultural history.

"My family of 6 visited in July and booked a multi sport tour. We kayaked for about two hours in the am. Our guide Joel was great. Knowledgeable about the lake and it’s history. He set a good pace with breaks as we needed them. We ate a basic lunch of turkey sandwiches and then headed to Squaw valley for hiking. Very nice scenic hike at the right level for our group. Lots of wild flowers. It would have been hard to follow the trail without a guide. The company was great about answering all my questions and returning phone calls. One suggestion would be to provide a wider variety of snacks and drinks. Some gourmet touches to lunch like local homemade cookies would have been nice. We have had this with other tour companies. The Company does an amazing job at keeping in contact with you, frequently providing keen information for the tour; directions, parking permit, appropriate attire, answering any and ALL questions you may have! Our tour guide Zach was beyond AWESOME (if we could give 12/10 rating, would so would!) My boyfriend and I are from Miami, where we all know there are no mountains. The hike itself is do-able with frequent breaks. Zach was so patient with us, provided some great historical tips, and never stopped motivating us to get to the top!!! I want to thank you for a wonderful Thunderbird Lodge Kayak Tour. I hesitated spending the extra money for the Lodge tour, but everyone in our group seemed very pleased with this extra. Seeing the estate from the water and then leaving our kayaks of the sandy beach while doing the tour felt special. Mark was knowledgeable and the timing was relaxed. Having lunch in the gazebo was a nice touch. Kori was personable and we enjoyed her description of the geology and history of the area.
