Tour Description

Tahoe Adventure Company and KC Rodrigue present: Telescopic tours of the midnight sky! This fusion brings you the most exciting tour of the season. It all starts with guided sunset kayaking followed by a brilliant tour of the midnight sky.

Our knowledgeable guides will teach you about the natural and human history of the area, while you watch the sun casts a purple alpenglow onto the Sierras. Hike through the trails of Lake Tahoe and then you'll be guided to a viewing point, where KC will open your mind to the unknown world above you. Hot drinks and snacks will be served as our Star Tour begins.

KC has spent more than a decade exploring the night sky and is passionate about sharing its wonders with others. In 2023, he earned his Master’s degree in Computer Science from UNR, but ultimately chose to pursue his true passion—astronomy. He operates advanced telescopes equipped with both eyepieces and cameras to showcase the beauty and mystery of the cosmos. Beyond stargazing, KC serves on the operations committee for the Great Basin Observatory and teaches astronomy at TMCC. Through his large-aperture telescopes, guests are transported into the vast, mysterious universe that stretches above the Sierra Nevada.
